Best information and tips about injury claim car accident, automobile accident lawyers and personal injuries claim
I was involved in a rear end collision where passengers were injured.
I am pretty sure the victims will sue me since they have a lawyer, and my insurance will not cover me because there was a lapse in the policy.
i have a joint savings account with family members as beneficiaries, in case i were to die suddenly, they would have access to the account and vice versa.
my concern is can i be sued for that money?

yes you sure can and they can get judgments and garnishee wages and keep you in debt for the rest of your life/bail out of that account/good luck on buying anything in your name /this is very serious

Ken covered it very well.. this is what you pay for not having insurance.

Because you were not insured they can sue you for damages to their vehicle, medical bills (which are insane if they had to go to the ER) if they had to take time off work they can bill you a paycheck loss thing, and emotional trauma and stress from the incident.. sorry but youre a bit screwed since it was solely your fault and you were not covered. Find yourself a decent lawyer or try to settle out of court (which I doubt youll be able to do).
