Here’s my story….I was at a stop sign (leaving my daughter’s school) turning r onto a hwy. There was a school bus in the r lane, turning into the st. I was leaving. I looked and then proceeded to turn into the r lane, I then made the attempt to go to the l lane, and what I assume happened is the other car was behind the bus; as the bus turned, they moved into the l lane and met me, who was trying to move l. I never saw them. I heard the horn, looked in the rearview and then tryed to get the heck out of the way. Our cars hit with her front psngr and my front panel drivers side.
The police and firemen came, they told me she was just shaken up like me, not hurt at all.
My Ins. faulted me. They fixed my car, totalled hers (00 for mine). She then claimed injury, hired tv lawyers, she’s finished 5 months of treatment, she was prior injured.
Now, she’s asking for k just for medical. I have K cov. I have a lot of assets. Not sure what to do. Very scared

Normally your insurance limits (if they meet state standards) are all she’ll get. Every personal injury lawyer I’ve ever known inflates the crap out of the original claim amount, so they can settle downwards and end up with some money.
Call your insurance company tomorrow and ask them if they are going to provide you an attorney. If not, hire a lawyer and let him earn his keep. What you don’t want to do is start hiding your assets, courts don’t like that at all. Let him look over her medical bills and see the air, and he’ll knock down the amount to where it’s under your limit.
Relax, ok? This is why you have insurance.

That’s why you pay for insurance. Have your insurance company handle it.

i think it her fault and you should be suing her. you say 2 cars hit her, so it’s her fault.
