I never really hear about people bringing lawsuits against lawyers….why is that ?

I hear commercials of lawyers wanting to sue someone over recalled medicines, I hear commercials of lawyers wanting to sue for auto accidents….BUT I HAVE NEVER :

Heard a lawyer on commercials say : Want to sue a lawyer for what he has done to your life, etc etc…..?

Why is this ?

my family was hit in an auto accident last week by a driver who was on her cell phone,speeding, 75 yrs old, plus she attempted to flee the scene, but was caught by concerned neighbors. i barely found out about this today. My moms hip is injured and my 28 yr old brother injured his shoulder. my dad and other brother are fine. i told them to get an attorney and sue her. they are concerned with immediate finances. they didn’t even think of hiring lawyer. how long is this process and how much should they sue for?

Insurance settlement? asking lawyers or people that have been through the process before?
In december a drunk driver hit me and my fiance. the insurance paid our medical bills, and for the total of his car. and then we talked to a lawyer. he said for our kind of case he advised us to just fight with the insurance company for a settlement for all of this which we could probably get ourselves five thousand and he could get us six thousand five hundred but after his fee of one third it wouldnt be worth it to us. my question is that i mostly need advice on how to do this. he said to have the chiropractor write us a nice letter i think of what he did to us and how it has helped i think. and for us to write a letter and say how this has affected us and will affect us and then start by asking for twenty to twenty five thousand. this was the guys third dui also. thanks

- Me and my boyfriend both made seperate claims and have different claim #s, and they gave him about 00 for his car… was that his settlement? or can we still go forward with the insurance company about our bodily injuries and such??

the reason the lawyer told us to go about it ourselves is because he said that it would be more benificial to us. If we could get ourselves 5000, which is what he said he thought we could do, then he could probably get us 6500. but after his 1/3 fee, then we would get less than if we did it ourselves…

I was in an accident that was my fault. I called my auto insurance company the same day to file a claim and report what happened. A few days later they call me asking for a statement, which they said was to determine liability. I told them I had already said everything that happened and asked if they could just get the police report. They said that getting the police report would take to long and they needed me to answer some questions.

Did I have to answer their questions at this point? Or should I just have told them to get the police report?

Also, the guy who I hit has a lawyer. Is that normal? Can he sue me or my insurance company for more damages?

Finally, this happened in a "fault state", do I have to tell anything to his insurance company who has been calling me also?

My lawyer shared information without my consent…. so, isn’t this considered a breech of confidentiality?

This lawyer had a number listed for "messages" only so I could call him back. (I don’t presently have a phone of my own."

Said lawyer told my "message contact number owner" things about my case that I would have rather kept quiet.

Should I sign off on the settlement said lawyer has been working on due to an auto accident, or…do I find another lawyer and start over? If the latter is the option, how do I go about firing present lawyer since I’ve already signed a contract with him to handle the case in the first place?

I’m posting this for a good friend of mine in San Diego. She recently bought a used car from a private party. On my advice, she took the car to an auto shop and paid for a full diagnostic inspection, they told her " the battery was low" and that was it. She looked on carfax.com and found the car was in an accident, and the seller assured her it was very minor, just a few dents, no airbag deployment, etc. She bought the car, took it in for a tune-up to the authorized dealer, and they found there was major damage to the engine, airbags had been deployed and removed, parts of the engine were held on with plastic zip-ties (!!) and she had been totally lied to. So now it’s court time and she needs a good lawyer, she is poor as a church-mouse so pro bono would be great, thank you!!

Ok so I was in an accident about 6months ago, i got rear ended and the other person admitted fault. I lost my job due to it and haven’t been able to work. I hired a lawyer and have been going to the doctors for my shoulder and lower back plus physical therapy and also the chiropractor. I have been going to all of those dr. apts. since the accident and my lawyer told me it was important. a couple months ago i told him i was ready to settle and he told me to go a little longer so i did. so he calls me today and says i don’t have to go to dr. apts any more because the person who hit me has a 15,000 dollar limit for medical. so pretty much what im asking is am i going to get screwed over and left with no money because of the limit?

I was involved in a rear end colision involving 2 trucks at work. I went to the hospital and at the time I only had a little whiplash. Now a little over 2wks later my back is feelin tight and hurts off and on. I have a copy of the accident report. What’s my next move? Do I see a chiropractor or get a lawyer or both?

After auto accident settlement for 2 months already, lawyer had not really updated me why the hospital bills were not taken care of. Lawyer is unreachable. My hospital bills are now in collection. I have already received ,000 pocket money for my settlement, but I am still due a different of ,500 but have not received yet. What should I do? Should I wait for the lawyer to take care of the hospital bills and for how long should I wait? Should I be able to receive the difference yet or I have to wait until the hospital bills are taken care of? Thanks.
