My husband was making a left hand turn in his work truck and was rear-ended by another vehicle, which was then rear ended by another vehicle. The first vehicle to hit my husband said there was smoke in the air so he suddenly couldn’t see. The police sent my husband on his way right away as it was obviously not his fault. This was two years ago. Now he just received a court summons from the first vehicles court/lawyer that he is sueing my husband, my husband employer, the second cars driver and his employer. The person giving the summons said to give it to his insurance company within 20 days. But, it wasn’t my husbands fault and it wasn’t my husbands vehicle, it was his work vehicle. Not sure what to do. If he doesn’t respond he is considered guilty and will be charged to pay the 0,000 they want.
My husband was not given a ticket and his work truck was brand new and insured.

I was hit with a truck from the back and pretty much the whole trunk of my car is gone, I had a passenger with me and we both suffer from neck and back and leg injures. The injures are not really bad but bothersome, when the insurance adjuster called me they said that the other driver had coverage of maximum of 00, and I believe the car is totaled and what about the yard storage fees and my medical bill. So what should I do, should I hire a lawyer to get full payment for my car and to injures?

In 2008 my friend was driving and I was in the back seat. Their was a brown out on the street and the traffic light was flashing red. She did not stop and ran the light. She T-boned a truck and we spun out and she totaled her car. I hit my head very hard and was actually knocked unconcous temporarily. We were sent to the hospital ( I was sent with a neck brace on a stretcher ) We were at the hospital for hours and they put me through a cat scan. They sent me home with the brace and gave me 2 tylonols. Over the past year and a half the pain in my neck has been getting worse and has affected my work and my sleep. My primary care has reffered me to see a physical therapist. I have not been able to seek further medical help because I work full time. The other reason being that my friend’s insurance company wants me to pay out of pocket and then be reimburced for the expences while "in treatment" I unfortunately, don’t have that kind of money. The claims adjuster has outright neglected my phone calls and now the debt collectors have sent my debt to a lawyer. I haven’t even been able to see all of my collective expences so far because no one will give me a straight answer on what I owe.

What do I do now?
The claims adjuster for my friends insurance company just sent me a settlement paper. with a $$ amount on it. With nothing to back up the amount.
She never discussed it with me and since she sent the paperwork the adjuster still won’t return my calls.

The debt has already gone on my credit. and I want it removed.

— 7 mnths ago got into a car accident.
— i had no insurance! stupid, i know!
— a ford F250 (big truck) ran a red light and t-boned my left side: i had a 4cylinder camry!
— there was a cop in the traffic with us but claims he saw nothing.
— cop also DENIED A WITNESS that wanted to give her statement.
— no ticket was issued: cop said NO-FAULTon police report.
— just the trucks grill was damaged mind you!
— i got a written, notarized statement from the witness.
— guys insurance, State Farm refused to accept my witness statement.
— police report said NO-FAULT! but state farm tried to come after me.
— 3 months ago state farm sent me a check for ,000, HALF my car’s damages!
— now state farm is saying they’ll sue me in 30 days if i don’t pay ,300! and they’ll suspend my license AND RUIN MY CREDIT!
-why would State Farm PAY ME only to ask for double back 7 mnths later?
- now they claim it was my fault, police report, says NO FAULT!

My husband was on his way to work one morn. with two other workers in truck and a car was in the opposite lane in the middle of road getting ready to make a turn. My husband saw the car and tried to swerve to avoid the car. In the meantime, the other car was trying to get back over to his own lane but it was too late and they
collided almost head on. Needless to say, it totaled my husbands truck. Police came, the guy said it was his fault, that the sun was in his eyes and he didn’t see the truck until it was right upon him. The guy gets a ticket for failure to yield. All this was recorded on the police report but when the police drew the diagram, he has both trucks in the opposite lane hitting head on. The guy never turns this in to his insurance co. but I do to mine. anyway, it was five days until HIS insurance adjuster could get his statement and now he says it was part my husbands fault because he was over in his lane!! soo his insurance co. is not getting my husband a vehicle to drive to work cause they are saying the drawing shows both vehicles in the guys lane showing a head on. Also, my husband got hurt (neck, back, shoulders )cause he hit the windshield when the guy hit him, also the two other guys with him have soft tissue and muscle injuries from the crash. This will be 8 days and my husband still don’t have a work truck. He also lost 2 days work. Should we sue or how would we fight this? We would rather not use a lawyer but will if we have to.

Farmer Joe was in his car when he was hit by a truck. He decided his injuries from the accident were serious enough to take the trucking company (responsible for the accident) to court. In court, the trucking company’s fancy lawyer was questioning farmer Joe.

“Didn’t you say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I’m fine’?” said the lawyer.

By this time the Judge was fairly interested in Farmer Joe’s answer and said to the lawyer, “I’d like to hear what he has to say about his favorite mule Bessie.”

Joe thanked the Judge and proceeded, “Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other.

“I was hurting real bad and didn’t want to move. However, I could hear ole Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans.

“Shortly after the accident, a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.

“Then the Patrolman came across the road with his gun in his hand and looked at me. He said, ‘Your mule was in such bad shape I had to shoot her. How are you feeling?’ “

A few days ago my boyfriend got into a crash.
While driving, a driver in the on-coming traffic lane crossed over the line and side swiped his 1990 Ford Ranger. It ripped off his mirror, dented his door, ripped off his running board, popped his tire, and bent his rear axel. He had slammed his breaks and his truck slid almost 100 yards. My boyfriend had no insurance, but the other drive did.
After the wreck, I brought my boyfriend to the hospital. He got blunt force trauma to his stomach and muscle strain. He has missed 3 days of work so far.
We went to a lawyer and she said she will represent him to gain a vehicle, medical expenses, and lost wages.

What I am wanting to know is if the case can be won, if so how much could he win? We live in Tennessee if that matters, I’m not sure if laws differ state to state.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The other driver was driving without contacts in and also on a suspended license due to a previous wreck. I’m not sure if this could help with the case or not.

I am a DHL driver and I was recently terminated from the job I was working for 5 years over a car accident that I and a CHP confirmed that I was not at fault. (A lady hit me from behind the truck that i was driving on a turn lane, when that lady said I backed into her)( I have a hard copy of that report). It’s been 2 weeks now that I have not been working with the my previous employer and heard from my ex co-workers saying that I was fired because the manager says I was at fault when the accident accurred and he will use that reason to deny my unemployment. Although I signed an "at will" agreement at the time of my employment, but I feel that they have broke one or two of their code of business Conduct about honesty and ethical conduct, and full, fair accurate, timely and understandable disclosure in the reports and documents the Company files with, or submits to, the Securities and exchange commision and in other public communications made by the company. Also they have breached the privacy of my termination and disclosed it to everyone that I worked with at my previous job which are my friends. Pls. help, I have a wife that works part-time and a three yrs old daughter.

My truck was hit while I was asleep and I only woke up to my nieghbor banging on my door to let me know he saw it happen. Well the car that hit my truck couldn’t drive anymore so he left it parked took the keys and ran off. I called the cops as soon as my nieghbor woke me up and they came out but on the police report all they have on there is the guys name, address, VIN and tag number and no insurance info. I tried calling my insurance rep. and he told me he couldn’t help me find out. The car is registered PA, and it happened in MD so I called the PA MVA and they told me they couldn’t help me either. I tried looking up his info on the internet and even called a lawyer in which the lawyer told me my ins. rep. should be helping me find out, but no 1 is. I need help finding out how I can get his insurance info. that no one is willing to help find out? i also have he had a passanger in his car and her name is on the report but i was told if i called her then i could be charged w/harasment
So am I completely out of my deductible that I had to pay? And what about the money that my ins co. is out of for paying the rest of the damage? I never had to file a claim before and this was my first one since I have had insurance in the past 5 years and I don’t have tickets or anything so why isn’t my insurance not willing to help me or trying to? And I think it bugs me the most is because I just bought a brand new truck 2 months ago and someone had hit it and had the nerve to just run off.
