Alright, so I live in california now. I’m from texas and i haven’t been driving my vehicle that is still registered in texas. there isn’t any insurance on it because I found out my Texas license has been suspended. Stupid me had to drive my truck one day and had a fender bender with a leased mercedes benz that a lawyer (solutions at work/labor laws/defends business lawyer), great! so i have a job and no cops were involved and I’m going to pay out of pocket. I worked an under the table job and my employer decided to lay me off and not pay me… I owe this guy 00 (rental car and repairs) for the fender bender and I’m now unable to pay. I haven’t talked to him because I just found out and it’s supposed to be taken care of tomorrow… Is it worth him suing me over? California dmv knows where I live… If he reports me will they come arrest me and impound my vehicle? What should I do?

My boyfriend was on 75 south and a tractor trailer tried to switch lanes and hit my bfs 99 honda with his tires and rimes. The truck was about to stop but decided to take off instead. My boyfriend and another car tried to stop the truck but it took off and didn’t stop until it was several miles away on private property. My Bf and the other woman called the police but the woman couldn’t stay and left her information. The man agreed to my bf that he hit the car and offered him 0 for my boyfriends (almost torn off) bumper. My bf refused and when the cop arrived the truck driver told the cop that my bf was lying and he had never hit my bf’s car. The truck driver seemed to be either drunk or very tiered but the cop said that he couldn’t give the truck drive a ticket because they were now on private property! We don’t to much care about the money, but this man could have killed people today and had the nerves to leave the accident sight! I feel that he should have had his licences taken away! He might kill someone next time.
The truckdriver changed lanes and Hit my boyfriends left side back bumper with his trucks front right tires. My boyfriend was riding the middle lane the whole time. THe truck driver was in the last lane (which trucks are not aloud to be in). So I dont beleive he was in the trucks blind spot!

I was involved in an three-car accident on 09/26/2010. I was a passenger in my vehicle, and my friend was the driver. A white truck came to an abrupt stop in the middle of traffic, causing the black truck in front of us to have to swerve and slam on brakes, which caused my driver to have to slam on brakes. My driver came very close to hitting the black truck in front of us, but he was able to a come to a complete stop. About two or three seconds later a car slammed into the back of my car causing it to hit the back of the black truck in front of us and turn sideways in the lane. I have an FR-10 report that states my driver did not contribute to the collision. The only person charged with contributing to the collision was the party that hit my car from behind. Her insurance company has told me that during their investigation the contributing party’s testimony contradicted my driver’s testimony because she is stating that we cut in front of her a few seconds before the accident occurred. That is not the truth, but there are no independent witnesses.The contributing party’s insurance company has stated they will not claim full liability unless I obtain a police report that contradicts their customer’s testimony about what happened, even though I have given them the FR-10.

Should I obtain legal representation in this matter?

im 15 i was running at practice and while i crossed the road, i got hit by a truck. none of my other team mates saw me get hit. One witness said that i didnt look when i crossed, which is stupid because im pretty sure i did..i would NEVER just hop out into the road infront of a car. I spent about a week in the hospital no broken bones. Just a blod clot in my skull that began to expand so they nuerosurgeons had to remove that. Im back home now, cant go back to school till next week, and cant run for another month. Everything has changed for me. my parents are extremely worried about whos at fault. I absolutely do not remember anything except waiting for the road to be clear to go. We have a lawyer and stuff, but my dad is telling me all these things saying that he doesnt think that we will win the case. What do you think? some people said they saw him on the phone, and the witness was supposedly sitting at dairy queen in the parking lot when this happened. It isnt even open? so who knos
i cant remember? i looked alot farther away from where i was. I mean i was hit in the middle of the road its not like i stepped off the curb and the car just rammed into me. It cant be 100% fault. arent there laws about pedestrians get the right way or something
okay, so maybe i didnt look hard enough? but i dont remember anything so i cant really tell you guys a blatent answer. The only thing im worried about here is how is this going to settle out? My parents are fighting about how we are going to go bankrupt and be living out on the streets just because of my accident. I cant imagine how much all of this can end up costing, and how im going to even live my normal life.. i guess you guys wouldnt understand. and no im not some rich kid that has rich parents and live in a mansion and we cannot afford to pull this money out of ours butts right now unlike most of you

let me first give you a brief recap of the events that followed my termination.

i live in Plano,Tx

February 2nd 2011 i was snowed into my apartment complex, i informed my boss that i couldn’t even get out of my parking spot, his response was "go outside and put table salt on the road" he was pressuring me to come. also he harassed me every two hours trying to further pressure me into driving to work. and risking my life. (i have roommates that overheard the conversation, they stayed home due to the bad weather and they work less than 2 miles away) i had only had my drivers license for 1 week at the time, boss new that as well. i am a new driver and he expected me to drive in ice and snow.

February 3rd 2011 i went to work, when i got off work it began to snow again.

February 4th 2011 all of the snow compacted to ice and my boss succeeded into pressuring me into driving in the next to imposable weather. i left 4hrs early in order to make it to work on time (work was 55 miles away from my apartment) and 16.5 miles away from work i hit a patch of black ice in my truck and spun out of control into a concrete barrier totaling my truck, i called my boss not even 10 minutes after the accident, and his phone was turned off, 25 minutes after my shift was scheduled to start i was able to get a hold of him on the phone informing him that i would be unable to make it due to the accident. that accident should have killed me, i also informed him that seeing as i am not 25, i can not lease a rental car. i was forced to check into a motel for the night and the next morning i had to spend 0 on a uhaul to get home.

February 20th 2011 i was able to buy a truck off of a friend for 00.00, it was all i could get into….. car dealers were turning me and my wife down left and right.

February 21st 2011 i had called my boss to tell him i could resume work, his response was "Dillon? why does that name sound familiar, oh we fired you" to make matteres worse, my pay check should have been here a two weeks ago! i have not received it in the mail (my checks are mailed out not handed off) i have rent due.

also, i have NEVER been late to work (always at least one hour early) and i have NEVER called in sick or called in because i couldn’t make it to work.

We were at a light and were talking about the light being red and stoping. She is almost three in July. Well about a few seconds later I heard scretching and saw the driver in my rear mirror coming at me and BOOM! Our van was totaled and the truck. He had a big chevy truck. The guy that hit us had no license, no ins, no english speaking and was under the influence of alchcohol. He had a open bear can in his cab.
Thank god my daughter and I made it! I hurt real bad all over, especially my neck. We were taken to the ER by ambulance and were checked out okay. I have a lawyer coming over tomorrow, but should I see a doctor before the lawyer comes? to have on record? Or does it matter, since they ER gave me a CAT scan? my daughter saw her doctor today and was fine. She also had a chest xray at the hosp. She is fine too. oh yes he was arrested and handcuffed but did not get a breath test. Do they do that at the station? I will call tomorrow to see if a report has been made yet?
the lawyer will sue the owner of the truck, it was his bosses truck.

How worried should I be? This was a minor accident where there was barely any damage to the vehicles. The person he hit requested an ambulance at the scene then changed his mind when the ambulance showed up. My husband had rear ended the other driver with little damage to either car. We are in California and my husband has a new truck and we have a really high limit on the insurance. Will the insurance handle all of this or should we consult a separate attorney? We received a letter from our insurance stating the other driver retained a lawyer and if we receive any paperwork we should send it over to them to be handled by the lawyer that they have retained. Any advice or experiences that people can share with me?

We were hit by the salt truck in the front end. She was at fault. I was driving a 99 ford escort and the car is sounding very bad and its rattling. Me and my daughter are having neck, back, shoulder, head pains with dizziness and we are wearing neck braces too.We drove to the hospital the day of the accident and went to the doctor two days later because of pain. The police officer said that she was at fault. There was no sign upon the truck. Her supervisor came out to the scene and said someone from their legal department would contact me by this tuesday.

Got into an accident July of 08, my shoulder had been knocked
Out of place with a lot of tissue damage and inflimation. My son was in the vehicle but was not hurt. The other driver turned on the opposite side while I was driving towards her way. My light was green and as I was entering the intersection it turned yellow, by then we both collided she claim I ran the red light? I did NOT receive a ticket if I ran a red light?
So here is almost a year later I had surgery on my shoulder, the arrbitration hearing claimed I was 60% at fault even though she addmitted that she dnt know what color the light was and didn’t know if I was coming towards the intersection.
The damage to my truck totaled to 58.00.
Now my lawyer is telling me that the 1st offer was 00 the 2nd was 00 now as of 4/07/2009 the last offer was ,000. Ok so my lawyer claim they requested .000 and I knew that amount was going to be declined. I asked my lawyer if I can get proof that this is what they are offering and he claimed that this was "verball" he also told me I was 60% at fault and that the amount offered sounds good and that I should go with it. But how do I know what they offered? He claimed he is gonna send documents in the mail for me to sign from the other driver insurance. I just don’t belive this is what they has offered and my slick talking lawyer seems too laid back and taking forever to send me copys and proof of documents! What do I do?
