I was in a car accident this morning some guy hit me from behind. I didn’t need an ambulance at the time but i did report some pain I was having to the officer. A few hours later I went to the hospital. My right shoulder blade, neck, jaw, and even my ear hurt. They said that they make my car insurance pay 80% of the bill. Which my insurance will battle it with the guys insurance that was at fault. However I have to pay the other 20%. And what about my follow up with the doctor in a few days. Do i have to pay? If I get a lawyer would I get my money back?

yes, you can sue for anything his insurance company doesn’t cover and your law suit can cover your legal expenses. BUT be very careful of anything you accept from his insurance and don’t sign anything with your lawyer looking at it.

      get a lawyer

and you shouldnt have to pay anything and they should pay you even more than you spend

you need to call your insurance agent immediately. its there job to give you the info. what sounds like is happening here is that they are treating it as a no fault accident which would mean youre insurance pays for you an his for him. sometimes police screw up on the report so you might want to ask them about this. ive had several accidents that werent my fault so i can tell you what should happen. you should go to a doctor or chiropractor for treatment . once they release you from treatment which means you all better then the other guys company will want you to sign a settlement. this takes the other guy off the hook for any later pain you might have from this accident. usually they might give you a check of several thousand. however if you werent wearing a seatbelt an it was recorded by the cop you may be screwed for personal injury. the principle here is that you werent doing youre job of minimizing damage to yourself. this may be what is happening

go to a solicitor and tell them what happened
the person who crashed you would have to pay for the car and also you can get compensation for your injury

If the person was driving without car insurance, then you are stuck. Also, you should always go to the hospital immediately, even if you feel fine. There probably is a time frame, not sure what it is. The one at fault should pay all or most. Sounds like the other partys’ insurance company is going to try to fight things. Sorry this happened to you. Good luck.

If the other driver was at fault, then the other driver’s insurance should pay 100% of the medical, and may give you some money for pain and suffering.

If you get a lawyer, then the lawyer will typically take 1/3, which is more than 20%, so you would be better paying 20% and not getting a lawyer.

Why can’t ask your family to help you instead asking on yahoo answer???

You would get around 3 to 5 thousand, you need report your insurance and get lawyer that he/she will work for your situation. you must get paper from the hospital, take picture of car, insurance to bring to lawyer FIRST after lawyer will send you a check for money.

Yes, notify your insurance. Get a lawyer right away. The other guy’s insurance should have to pay atty. fees as well. You go to the Dr. every other day, too.
