Pain & suffer claim for an auto accident@ my fault?

Best information and tips about injury claim car accident, automobile accident lawyers and personal injuries claim
I just got a call from my auto insurance claim dept. rep. and told me that my family members can claim for Pain & Suffer due to my fault car accident that had been settled while back ( I was the driver and my family was passengers in my car).
It was a little shock that even if my faulty accident, but my family still can claim against my policy.
However, it is clear that my family can claim thru my policy and my insurance offer my wife for 00, Kid#1 00, & Kid#2 04. Of course Nothing for me ^^;
Anyway, my wife med bill was 00 and treatment takes near 2 months and still in minor pain, Kid#1 E.R. bill was 00 & Treatment 00 for 2 months, could not attend school for 2 weeks, and Kid#2 treatment 00, no after pain.
I am sure that I will be facing a increasing ins in next renewal or maybe kick out.
Anyway, we decide to take a chance.
However, I calculated using a couple of website’s Pain & Suffer Claim calculator for offer, and find out my ins. offers are too low. Do I need to hire an attorney for the pain & suffer claim for my family to my faulty auto accident? The goal is very ovious that we try to get a better offer. Any advise will be appreciate.

You’d better take their offer and run. If you hire a lawyer you will automatically lose 1/3 of your ENTIRE settlement and he/she/it will not likely increase the bottom line by one dime. A lawyer cannot make a claim worth more than it is, despite what they may tell you.

Yes, you need an attorney to get a higher settlement. The simple explanation is because they have no reason to negotiate with you. At all.
They are not afraid of facing you in a courtroom because they know they will win. You may be in the right, and know the actual laws, but that does not mean you will know how to respond to a list of admissions. Little things like that get cases dismissed, and insurance companies know every single trick there is.
An attorney will, if nothing else, scare the insurance company a bit. If your attorney has a successful track record, THAT is what will convince them to offer more.
Car accident injury attorneys usually work on a contingency fee basis. This means they take ~33% of the settlement / verdict amount if you win your case / settle.
This may seem like a lot, but if you discuss your case with an attorney (a free consultation is usually offered), they can tell you if you have a realistic chance of a larger recovery (after fees).
Your potential attorney may tell you that your case is too far along, you’ve talked to the insurance company too much, or you’ve damaged your case by not hiring an attorney as soon as possible. If they tell you this, they are probably correct. The best thing to do after an accident is talk to a lawyer. Not to screw over the insurance company, but to get a fair fight for the compensation you deserve. They have a TEAM of high priced lawyers. Without legal representation, you have no chance at negotiating with an insurance company.
***[BTW, Coast Cowboy Bill could not be more wrong. His statement is just ridiculously incorrect. I've seen a non-attorney offer of $600 turn to over $25,000 after hiring an attorney. You just have to be able to prove damages, which most non-attorneys have no idea how to do.]***
