if the injury is minor, why do you need an attorney?
No, you should only see a personal injury attorney if your medical bills (if any) and other bills directly relating to the injury are uncovered. Until then, file your bills with the other party’s insurance company (or just the other party if insurance isn’t involved) and be grateful you weren’t seriously injured

Yes, you should immediately take advantage of the free initial consult offered by an injury attorney. What seems minor today, could get worse over time. And unless you are trained attorney, you would not know as well as an injury attorney what evidence is important to identify and preserve immediately after the accident. Basically you would not know how to properly and thoroughly document your potential claim. If you neglect doing this, and over time your injury worsens, important and critical evidence could well be lost, altered or destroyed. If you have been injured, even if you think it is minor, call an injury attorney immediately and request a free initial phone or office consultation.
