ok, we were in a car accident couple days ago.We were in a busy road and she was going to turn into the lot and i was coming down on the road and she turned and i hit her.I had no way of stopping because i was to close and was going on 40.We took all the info and she had a heart problem so they called the ambulance for her.The officer at the scene told me that she was at fault because she should have waited until u went by.So i called her insurance company and guess what no insurance.I called her to tell her that and she said that i am at fault and she says that she has hired a lawyer to sue me.Can she do that?What can i do?please any advice would be great.We still don’t have the police report ,because it takes like 5 days.But i am 100% sure shes at fault.

I had a bad car accident a few months back. The woman who hit me ran a red light. It caused severe back injuries that I’m still feeling to this day. She happens to be the state representatives wife. I’ve called every lawyer in my town, I’ve called just about every lawyer in my state which happens to be Kentucky. They would either tell me its a conflict of interest or they would simply say "no way". I even called a lawyer from Connecticut and he wont even take the case. I have a copy of the police report stating it was clearly her fault, but for some reason no lawyer I have talked to will help me. She can’t even be served she refuses to take the papers and NOTHING is being done about it. I need a lawyer with some backbone. I’m at the end of my rope. What else can I do? Who can I call about this? I even called the local paper and they refuse to run the story. I need HELP.

when my gf and i broke up i would give her money orders for child support for like a year till i realized i had to go another way thru the system . all the money i was giving her wasnt legal so there for it didnt count. we had the agreement i pay i see my son. i paid a lil didnt see him. so then i went to jail for a wararnt i had out. came out 8 months later. then i looked for work got a job then was in a car accident was out for like 6 months now i am back on my feeet looking for work been 4 months since the accident..i wanna pay but i dont even have a job. my new gf has been helping me the whole two years. so should i be worried

My wife and I were in a car accident about 3 months ago. We had just rented a car from the airport, and not even 2 hours later, we were t-boned on the highway. I was going 55 and the other driver didn’t bother slowing down, failed to turn on their blinker, and carelessly turned right into my wife and I at about 40-45 mph (on my side, the driver side). My wife and I were taken to the hospital, where we had to stay for about 6 hours as they kept her hooked up to a monitor to keep tabs on our unborn child.

All my wife had was bruised ribs, but the mental part is what is bothering her. She doesn’t like getting into cars anymore, is always startled whenever we are driving past intersections, and has been worried to death for the last 3 months that there will be something wrong with our daughter.

The fact that both of us walked away almost unscathed is amazing, but mentally my wife is a wreck. The insurance company of the party that was at fault was quick about trying to get us to settle right away. They offered to pay our medical bills and to give my wife and I 0 each, for a total of 00.

Our primary concern is for our baby, which is due in the next couple of weeks. But as long as everything is fine with our daughter (and we pray that she will be okay), can we or will we be able to get more money from the insurance company, or should we just settle for the 00 as long as everything is ok with our daughter.

My wife seems to think we can get a considerable amount of money for her mental anguish and fear that our baby would come out sick and/or unhealthy for the last 3 months. I think we should just settle.

So my question is, with all the suffering (mentally) my wife has had, can we get a decent ammount of money if we decide to hire a lawyer, or would it be better just to settle and take the 00 after our baby is born and everything is alright with her? Would it even be worth it to hire a lawyer? Keep in mind that the person who hit us were 100% at fault and my wife was 6 months pregnant at the time of the accident. We have not, however, been to the hospital since the wreck and we haven’t started a paper trail of any kind. Thank you to all that help! Answers as soon as possible would be great!

Make a long story short! I was in a car accident in September 2009. I had some pretty nasty injuries. I hired a lawyer right off the back that my family member referred me too. She said he did well by her so I retained him. Anyways….I finished therapy and my package went in to the insurance company by December. Months went by and no response to the insurance company. My lawyer became more and more evasive. Recently I wrote him a letter stating that I was unhappy and I was seriously considering moving on. He called me back right away and stated that my settlement offer came and the insurance only offered ,000. I asked him when did it come in and he refused to tell me. Now…the Man who hit me was driving a rental car and he was smart and purchased the rentals insurance and didnt use his own. The Max on his policy is ,000. I told my lawyer that he needs to aask for the ask and negotiate my medical expenses with the Doctors who treated me. My Med Bills are ,000 and these are his affiliates. I made it clear to my lawyer that he should negotiate my bills and ask the insurance company for the Max on the policy. He toldme that the insurance company said they will not pay a cent more. Weeks later I wrote another letter and he called me back and said he got in touch with the man who hit me and forced him to give him his actual insurance information (for his own car). My lawyer said that he is going to file a law suit on his insurance company. I thought to myself…how is he going to do that. This man hit me with a rental not his own car so how does his insurance company have anything to do with that? The man lives in California I live in Virgina. The man was his visiting on business. My gut is tellling me to run from this laywer. Late in the game like this I don’t think its wise for me to get another lawyer (more fees associated), plus in VA my lawyer could put a lien on my case for all the work he’s done.. I just think I need to kinda force him to settle and stop playing with me. Someone who is knowledgable…please help! I’m considering going to a legal clinic. I just don’t believe my lawyer could sue the guys insurance company when he used a rental and purchased rental insurance and didn’t use his own. Should I write my lawyer a very firm letter or just report him to the bar Assc. for failing to communicate, and failure to report my settlement came through? Help…I’m a college student and unemployed. All these medical bills could compromise my credit score, plus I want my money. This is all draining and ridiculous.

I signed medical release forms for a lawyer regarding a car accident. Will they be able to get my psychology notes that I consider very private and have nothing to do with my injuries. They are held at the same clinic and are about 10 years old!

— i had no insurance! stupid, i know!
— a ford F250 (big truck) ran a red light and t-boned my left side: i had a 4cylinder camry!
— there was a cop in the traffic with us but claims he saw nothing.
— cop also DENIED A WITNESS that wanted to give her statement.
— no ticket was issued: cop said NO-FAULTon police report.
— just the trucks grill was damaged mind you!
— i got a written, notarized statement from the witness.
— guys insurance, State Farm refused to accept my witness statement.
— police report said NO-FAULT! but state farm tried to come after me.
— 3 months ago state farm sent me a check for ,000, HALF my car’s damages!
— now state farm is saying they’ll sue me in 30 days if i don’t pay ,300! and they’ll suspend my license AND RUIN MY CREDIT!
-why would State Farm PAY ME only to ask for double back 7 mnths later?
- now they claim it was my fault, police report, says NO FAULT!

Hi my mother got rear ended in a car accident a month ago, and the insurance agent just now got back with us on a settlement. The driver was suspected to be drinking (as notated in the police report), but was not tested for any alcohol. The insurance agent only offered 2100$ for the settlement, despite the injuries and the pay invested into her own recovery. Is that a worthy settlement, or do you recommend getting a lawyer?
Sorry, they are offering 2100 for her injuries. They paid out about 1200 I believe or maybe it was a little less for the repair of the car. She is still going for treatment.
She also lost time from work, which she submitted in paperwork to the company.

a week ago i was in a car accident. i was @ a light and mine turned green, so obviously i started driving. a semi ran his red light the same time i took off and he ended up hitting my car! i went to the hospital, cause my neck hurt and i have some issues now with my eyesight and hearing. i got the police report the other day and it states that the driver of the semi addmitted to having faulty breaks. his rear air breaks were out and he addmitted running the red light. my dad has talked to my insurance company, but i havent talked to either of the insurance companies. im only 19 and i really am not sure what to do, cus my car is now totalled and you have to be 25 to have a rental car and im having to walk to work now. who should a talk to? should i go ahead and talk to an attorney or just file a claim with the other guys insurance??? please help!!
