So it wasnt my fault it was the other person she is at fault wat do i do from now? they already sent a settlement check which i have not discussed with the other persons insurance triple a (AAA) wat do i do? i have hospital bills no car nothing i still owed 15k on the scion that was totaled in my car accident they sent me 12k and i have gap insurance now wat??? i got hospital bills and in need of a new car… wat steps do i take… do i get a lawyer or how does it work helpp please =[
i have not cashed that check and i did not accept and come to terms with that insurance company
there is an accident report for my ccase actually my carr was totaled on the spot the ambulance came on the scene and everything soo yeah there is a police report my scion tc is totaled on the spot the police report says the other person is at full fault with witnesses
it doesnt not say final check or nothing it just says first payment

I had a traffic accident on October 13, 2006. I was backing up and i hit a garbage truck (not the huge ones but pretty strong). The guy didn’t move and wanted an ambulance(fake ass). The cops came i gave my information and everything and that was that. Today i receive a letter stating that the guy is suing me for ,000 for hospital bills, days out of work, and pain and suffering. I was also told that i might do 1 to 10 years in jail for this. Now i am a reasonable man but this guy was just full of bull. So back to what happened today. The reason i am being sued is because his insurance company wont cover any of the costs mentioned . I contacted my insurance company and they said they would help me out with the lawyer and everything. My question is, What are my chances of winning in this type of situation? Ok my dad was in a life threatening accident he’s back home now but he can’t movie his arm up that much it hurts him badlly beofre the accident he already had a bad back now it may be worse he was a truck driver and the owner of the buisness we are pretty sur ehe doesn’t have Workmens Comp and now my dad will probaly get stuck with all f the hospital bills and he will get nothing out of it when it could of killed him! THe load was also over sized! We don’t have alot of money and we need to get a good lawyer (In Illinois please!) becuase I don’t think he can legally not have Workmens Comp then file bankruptsy….I mean wouldn’t that be faulty justice or something like that? We hired then fired Ronald Holiday…now we have another lawyer who says he can’t do anyhting aobut it….please help us!!

My son was helping some kids from college take some things back home to NY. On their way back, the driver fell asleep and rolled the vehicle. My son was thrown from the vehicle and died on the way to the hospital. The insurance company said the death benefit was 25,000.00.
Is that all that our family is going to be compensated for or should I get a lawyer?

Thank You all for your answers. I have never had to do an insurance claim on anything so I wasn’t sure what my options were. I am not looking to get rich but my son has college loans that we cosigned and funeral and hospital bills to pay from the accident. I would never bring a suit against the driver and my son was wearing a seat belt but he had his back seat reclined because he was sleeping in a sleeping bag in the back seat of a 1995 Honda Element. When it rolled many times he fell out the large sun roof (very large) in the rear of the vehicle, they were on the I-80 in PA

I was involved in a car accident yesterday. A woman ran a red light and hit two cars, mine and another. I was in the passenger seat and her car hit me directly. Everyone involved except the driver of my car was taken by ambulance to the emergency room. I was lucky and ended up with only 12 stitches in my head and a lot of bruises.

She was arrested and is completely at fault– we were not cited at all, nor was the other car who was hit by her.

I got the police report today and also filed the claim with her insurance company. I have not called my insurance company or anything yet.

I’m just wondering what to expect in terms of money, rental car, bills, etc. Should I hire a lawyer immediately? I do have health insurance, but will I get money for the hospital bills?

My car was 1998 VW Cabrio in excellent condition with very low miles (52,000).

Has anyone been throught this and have some sound adivce? My family and I are wondering the best way to proceed

I called the driver’s insurance company today and filed a claim. Do I need to call my own company? I was told they would handle it themselves.

So its been about 9 months now, and seems that the attorney and the insurance are both dragging there feet. Granted I would like a few extra bucks, but I got hospital bills, and other medical related bills to this accident, and there getting put in to collections, and I’m getting liens put against me. I need this money to get back on top of things, been release from medical for about a month or two now.

I had a car accident a while back ago in September of 2007. On my way to work, a truck similar to a UPS truck ran a red light and T-boned my car. My car was totaled! It was NOT my fault, it was the other guys fault. Now today after such a long time, my lawyer said that Farmers Insurance has offered ,000. My hospital bills has not been paid for…I know it’s my responsibility. My question is when I get the check after the lawyer deducted their money, the remaining amount is mine and I have to go and take care of my hospital bills right. I read nothing in the lawyers contract that states it is their responsibility to pay for it. So I’m assuming, I am right? I already paid for some portion, i just don’t want the lawyers to pay for it and then it will cost me. BEST ANSWER 10 Points. THANKS

I fractured my left femur, tibia, ankle, and some bones in my foot in a motor vehicle accident. My party was not liable. We were stopped in traffic and rear-ended by a drunk driver at a very high speed. The man who hit us died and apparently he only had some kind of California state required "liability insurance" and had left no money behind. Anyway, how much do you think I should be able to get from this "liability insurance" company for my pain and suffering? I now suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain and clinical depression. This car accident kind of fucked up my life. It’s been almost two years now that my mom got in a car accident. At the time she didn’t know what to do, she unfortunately saw a commercial of a lawyer the name was "Wilshire Law Firm" located in Los Angeles,CA so they took over the case. Now my mom has been contacting the other parties insurance and they tell her the case is already closed, they already gave the lawyer ,000.00USD, so my mom contacts the lawyer and they tell her there still waiting on a response from the hospital and the chiropractor so they could "Settle", She contacted the hospital to learn that they havent even heard of the settlement, and that they havent heard from the lawyer an over 2 months. I know they have 7gs and the hospital bills arent even near that amount, Why hasent she recieved any money reguarding this issue yet? What can we do if she doesnt recieve payment soon, or not at all?
