I have tried so hard to find this answer…what is the movie about a boy that has memory loss after his mother dies of a motor vehicle accident…he lives in a orphanage or a mental institution and he meets a girl there and they fall in love and as the movie goes on he starts to remember things about his past….he has friends there and they have a like hang out place in an attic or something and they are not supposed to be up there and they kid in the wheelchair gets hurt or something but, at the end of the move after he remembers what happened to his mom they move him to a new place and the last scene of the move is of the girlfriend coming to see him and knocks on the door of his new room and he incites her and he remembers who she is after all he has been through

That sure sounds like The Bumblebee Flies Anyway, starring Elijah Wood as the boy and Rachel Leigh Cook as the girl! It’s a pretty good film adaptation based on a book of the same title by Robert Cormier.
