What should I expect from this car accident I have no clue?

I got rear ended on the 22nd by possibly a drunk driver I think because I saw his twitter and at 6 am it said he is leaving the club after popping bottles all night long I got rear ended at approximately 50 to 60 mph my car is a total loss went to the hospital in an ambulance went to a chiropractor the next day and they also took xrays and asked for the hospital xrays ok No MRI xray and catscan they said I have subluxations running from neck down the spine I know that subluxations are frown upon and stuff but he showed me the xrays my neck isnt anywhere close to the shape as a normal xray he showed me my back is a bit to one side leaning the spine is not straight and my lower back has some slippage he said. He said it can take anywhere from 4 to 8 months to recover he also mentioned that the accident caused torn ligaments from what he sees in the xray I am not looking to milk the company out of money I have been in genuine pain they gave me pills at the hospital the chiropractor gave me a neck brace to help with the damaged muscles and a pillow so my neck can slowly get adjusted back to its normal shape and I have for weeks of visit three times a week for adjustments and other things if I need anything else they will send me to specialist or an orthopedist this chiropractor has been honored by past president bush and two mayors of the city he is legit and very professional very good first impression and not the chiropractor showed me the xrays the doctor did. The other driver was uninsured and suspended license and he did all this to me I have allot of pain it isnt about revenge I just want a fair settlement what should I expect to happen? yes I got a really good lawyer morgan and morgan but I want to hear other peoples opinions thanks

i am also out of work since i have no car and if i were to work i still cant afford to pay the difference that i have to pay per day yes any car i pick there is still a 4 dollar difference per day

You didn’t need to hire a lawyer. All you needed to do was to use your own collision and uninsured motorist insurance. They would have paid all of your bills and then THEY and their lawyers would have sued the bad guy. This would have All free to you. Now, because you have hired a lawyer, you may get very little and the case will be dragged on for years. Since you have hired a lawyer, you need to ask him, all of these questions.

I don’t know like to see the police report and who got the ticket.
just because you think he was drunk doesn’t mean he was… could have been working since so late at night. So coming out of a place doesn’t tell me he was drinking. If the officer thought he was drunk would have taken a alcohol test.
But whoever got the ticket most likely be held accountable. But because his license was suspended means it probably be his fault because he shouldn’t be driving to begin with. So say he gets the ticket..
He has no insurance he has no license so may very well have no job.
lol… And you want a settlement. Well heres the bad news. He going to do jail time and you will probably get nothing.
Unless your insurance company pays out.
But you can take your 4 grand of dr’s and etc bills to court.. pictures of your car. etc.. But you can’t sue for what a person hasn’t got. So he will be given 3 or 6 months to find a job. Probably low income one and you get maybe 30 percent of it. so he makes 200.00 a week you will get about 30 percent of that. forever. Otherwise he revokes probation and go to jail. and then you get nothing.
Can’t collect money if he can’t work. So I hope you have full coverage. Then you will be compensated or should be by your insurance.
I don’t see what a lawyer can do for you. But you see one you can add that to the bill of what this guy already owes and never see that either.
sorry for your pain and all. And it’s a tragic thing. but I look at police report see what it says and it will tell if they found him drunk or not. but as far as the money goes. It no get rich scheme.
Or that you will ever see long term benefit, for long term injury. keep in mind that most people backs and such are out of alignment before they see a dr or a chiropractor. so the accident may have been a pre existing injury before the accident and the accident just aggravated it. Or it could have been due to the car accident. If he has a lawyer, and I doubt that, that will be the argument though.
