I contacted my insurance already which is geico…im in the state of florida and the other person was citated at fault…..i felt fine at the wreck but now my back is getting pretty stiff….i called my geico again and they said if i go to the doctor it will be with my policy personal injury which is a 00 ded. and they pay 80% after that…..and that if the person at fault has bodily injury they will end up paying for my ded. and 20% that im resposible for…..but i didnt ask to get into this wreck so why do i need to come out of pocket for 00 when i did nothing wrong? will the process be fast enough to where the other party will pay for everything….or do i need to speak with an injury attorney?
forgot to add…..the other person’s insurance is also geico

Each of us is always responsible for our own medical care costs. Whether you can recover those costs depends on the circumstances and the insurance company. Since both companies are Geico, and they told you you will be responsible for the first $1,000. then you will be responsible for the first $1,000. Did you bother to ask if the other guy had Bodily injury coverage ? Don’t you think that may be a good question to ask them?

if you don’t want to pay out of pocket than file with the other carrier if you want an atty to do it than contact an atty but remember he’ll keep at least 30 % of any settlement
